That brings to an end our coverage of all transfer talk in the world of football. We will be back from 9am on Monday morning (just tell your boss you're checking the company figures at that time, we'll understand!) to bring you all the latest moves and gossip. Until then, it's good night!

Before we bring to an end today's Transfer Talk at Sports Mole towers, here's a story that could affect all transfers in future. Both FIFA and FIFPro - the worldwide players union - are reportedly looking at a plan to bring in official transfer fees for all players, designed to stop the spiralling cost of recruiting talent.

In the past two summer transfer windows, three of the five most expensive deals have been completed. For James Rodriguez, Gareth Bale and he who must not be named (or train within a five-mile radius of Barcelona)...

Meanwhile, Fredy Guarin could be on his way to Premier League this summer. His club Inter Milan are reportedly considering a swap deal to take Manchester United's Javier Hernandez to the San Siro. Inter are thought to be looking for extra firepower in attack and see the Mexican as an ideal choice.

Pepe Reina could be set for the Anfield exit door, heading for Bayern Munich. Despite interest from Napoli, the Italian club are reportedly less than keen about paying £3.95m for the 31-year-old, but the German giants could pounce as they look for a back-up keeper to Manuel Neuer.

One player who looks set to stay put is Chelsea's Gary Cahill, with the defender reportedly about to offered a new four-year £120,000-a-week contract by the Blues.

Manchester United have been heavily linked with a move for Arturo Vidal and it appeared that the transfer was off. Well, it seems that a move for the Chilean midfielder could be back on, with reports suggesting a deal could be completed as early as this week.

Speaking of Arsenal fans perhaps wanting to look away. The Gunners are trailing 1-0 in the pre-season friendly against New York Red Bulls Thierry Henry had a hand in the goal. Live commentary of the game is being provided by our very own Alex Meyers.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Spurs fans may want to look away as reports in Spain suggest that Antoine Griezmann will reject a move to the Premier League and opt for La Liga champions Atletico Madrid instead.

We'll start with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, we'll Chelsea striker for the time being at least. Reports suggest that the Belgian frontman is close to agreeing a permanent move to Everton, whom he scored 15 goals for last season.

That's all from me for tonight, folks. Chris O'Keefe will now carry the baton for the final few hours.

It has gone a little quiet on the transfer front over the last hour or so. But one man who has been busy strengthening his squad this summer, Manuel Pellegrini, has warned his Manchester City players against complacency ahead of the new season. Could he be back in the market for more players?

Well it's a busy night for Arsenal if emerging reports are anything to go by, as Calum Chambers is said to have agreed terms with the Gunners. If so, the deal will set Arsene Wenger back £16m.

One man who has already made the move during this transfer window, Patrick van Aanholt, has revealed that he had no hesitation leaving Chelsea to join Sunderland. After making just two league appearances for the Blues in five years, you can see why.

More transfer news regarding Arsenal now, and they are rumoured to be in for Shakhtar Donetsk playmaker Douglas Costa. One report claims that Arsene Wenger has offered £15.8m for the Brazilian's services.

A player who has been linked with numerous clubs this summer - in terms of a loan move, at least - is Arsenal right-back Carl Jenkinson. Steve Bruce has tonight revealed that he has held talks with Arsenal over a potential loan move for the former Charlton Athletic player.

A reminder that you can catch up on all the big transfer headlines from across the day so far right here.

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has played down speculation linking the club with Watford striker Troy Deeney. The Clarets are among a number of teams who are thought to be keen on signing the 26-year-old, who scored 25 goals last season.

Lee Sharpe has doubted Louis van Gaal's ability to force a new era of success at Manchester United without a physical and vocal presence in the team. The Dutchman is widely expected to adopt the 3-5-2 formation which saw his Netherlands side secure a third-place finish in this summer's World Cup.

Fabio Borini has revealed that he is flying back to the UK after injuring his shoulder during Liverpool's tour of the United States. The striker, who is set to join Sunderland after the Black Cats agreed a fee with Brendan Rodgers's side earlier this month, picked up the injury during a pre-season friendly against Roma.

Cardiff City have insisted that Gary Medel will not be sold for less than they paid for him last summer. The Chile international joined the Welsh side for around £11m last year, and has been linked with a move to Inter Milan and Galatasaray this year.

Hull City are reportedly ready to stop their pursuit of Sheffield United defender Harry Maguire. The Tigers have already failed with two bids for the 21-year-old centre-back this summer.

New signing Bojan Krkic has revealed that Stoke City's style of football was the key factor behind his move to the club. The 23-year-old forward joined the Potters from Barcelona on a four-year deal on Tuesday.

New Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri has revealed that he wants to sign a defender and a striker before the start of the season. The Italian champions have already brought in Patrice Evra, Alvaro Morata and Kingsley Coman on permanent deals this summer, while Udinese winger Roberto Pereyra recently joined on loan.

Thank you, Paul. Right, let's start off with some words from Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger. The Gunners boss has challenged new goalkeeper David Ospina to put pressure on current number one Wojciech Szczesny. The shot-stopper will reportedly sign for Arsenal after their pre-season tour of the United States has concluded, and the French boss believes that Ospina can threaten the Poland international's place.

Well, that's all from me this afternoon. I'll leave you in the capable hands of Jack Prescott. Bye for now...

AC Milan chief Adriano Galliani has claimed that reported Arsenal target, Mario Balotelli is staying put with the Rossoneri. The Italian said: "Balotelli never asked to be sold. He will stay at Milan. 100% doesn't exist on the transfer market, but 99.9% does." We'll have the full story with you soon.
