Ki Sung-yueng focused on Sunderland victory

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-Yueng admits that he is determined to help his side find their form in the Premier League after returning from the Asian Cup.

Ki Sung-yueng is determined to guide Swansea City back to form in the Premier League following his return from the Asian Cup.

The 26-year-old was part of the South Korea side that finished as runners-up in the tournament, and is adamant that he wants to get over his disappointment on their failure to win the competition by helping the Swans defeat his former club Sunderland at the Liberty Stadium.

He told the club's official website: "The Asian Cup was a great experience. While we were all a bit disappointed not to win the final against Australia, everyone tried hard.

"As soon as the Asian Cup finished I couldn't wait to get back to Swansea. I was desperate to get back and help push the club higher up the table.

"I had an enjoyable time at Sunderland. It's a very nice club and it's going to be a bit strange playing against them if I'm selected on Saturday. But our priority is three points. It seems like a long time since we won at home – over a month – and we need a victory for the fans."

Ki made 34 appearances for the Black Cats in a loan spell with the club last season, scoring four goals.
