Garry Monk confident of return to form

Swansea City boss Garry Monk says that his side are close to regaining some consistency, despite slipping to a 3-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend.

Swansea City manager Garry Monk has said that he expects his side to return to form in their forthcoming matches after seeing the positives of their 3-0 defeat to Arsenal last weekend.

The Welsh club have won just once in seven Premier League fixtures, but Monk has suggested that he is not dwelling on their setbacks, which has left them sitting in 13th place in the Premier League table.

The 36-year-old is quoted by BBC Sport as saying: "In the last two games, I saw a lot of positives and our old selves coming back from that difficult period.

"Results will always be the be-all and end-all and I understand that, but if we continue to work how we are doing and show our best level - I think you'll see the right results for sure.

"Every team has difficult periods every season. The same happened last season when we had a period similar to this."

Swansea face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon.
