Harry Redknapp: 'Loan recalls are possible'

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp admits that duo Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto could return to Tottenham Hotspur after Andre Villas-Boas was sacked at White Hart Lane.

Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp has admitted that he fears losing Tottenham Hotspur duo Tom Carroll and Benoit Assou-Ekotto during the January transfer window.

Redknapp is keen to keep the pair, with both having made a positive impression at the Championship outfit, but the Loftus Road chief has revealed that they could return to White Hart Lane after the sacking of Andre Villas-Boas.

The former Spurs boss told the Daily Mail: "It can happen, yes. We haven't got any control over it. I hope that it doesn't happen as they've both been excellent loan signings for us.

"I think Assou-Ekotto is very happy here and enjoying his football. He's playing well and we'd like to keep him."

Carroll has made nine appearances for QPR, while Assou-Ekotto has featured on 14 occasions.
