Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks insists that teammate Christian Eriksen will continue to give his all for the club.

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks has insisted that Christian Eriksen will continue to give his all for Mauricio Pochettino's side for as long as he remains at the club.

Eriksen was strongly linked with a move away from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium during the summer, with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid said to be in the hunt.

The Denmark international ultimately remained with the club beyond the end of the transfer deadline, though, and that will be the case until at least the January transfer window.

Winks has played down suggestions that Eriksen's head could be elsewhere over the next few months, branding the 27-year-old's professionalism "fantastic".

"Christian's a fantastic player, there's no doubt about that. He's been one of our most impressive performers over the last few years," the London Evening Standard quotes Winks as saying.

"Christian's a top person and whatever he decides, that's up to him. All we can say is how well he's performed for us this season and how professional he is. He's fantastic."

Eriksen, who is also said to be interesting Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid, will see his current deal with Spurs expire at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
