Gary Lineker hails Tottenham Hotspur performance

Tottenham Hotspur legend Gary Lineker pays tribute to his former team's first-half performance in Sunday's Premier League clash at home to West Ham United.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker Gary Lineker has paid tribute to the capital club for their recent form in the Premier League.

Spurs have not been beaten in the league since the opening day of the season and currently lead rivals West Ham United 2-0 at the interval of their clash at White Hart Lane.

Spurs' first-half performance prompted a tweet from Lineker, who has hinted that his former club are now a team to be taken seriously as top-four challengers.

Harry Kane opened the scoring for the home team against West Ham, before Toby Alderweireld doubled their lead in North London. As it stands, Spurs are just four points off league leaders Leicester City.
