Karim Benzema could reportedly miss the start of the new La Liga season with a thigh injury.
The Real Madrid striker, who has been linked with a move to Arsenal of late, stayed behind in the Spanish capital for a scan while his teammates travelled to Munich for the ongoing Audi Cup.
No timescale has been placed on the 27-year-old's recovery, but according to Sport, he may be absent for the trip to Sporting Gijon on August 23.
Last season Benzema found the net on 22 occasions in all competitions.
