Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among several European clubs considering a move for Botafogo goalkeeper John Victor in January, according to a report.
The 28-year-old shot-stopper has caught the attention of numerous top European clubs after his standout performances for Botafogo this season, playing a crucial role in their historic double triumph in their domestic league and the Copa Libertadores.
The Red Devils are believed to be looking to bring in a goalkeeper to provide competition for Andre Onana and as cover for Altay Bayindir, who has been rumoured to be looking for a move away from Old Trafford.
Spurs, meanwhile, are considering a move for goalkeeping reinforcements following the long-term injury to their first-choice keeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Botafogo preparing for several offers for Victor in January
Victor's outstanding performances earned him the title of Best Goalkeeper in both the Copa Libertadores and Brasileiro, and according to Football Insider, Botafogo are now preparing for potential offers for their talented shot-stopper.
The report adds that among the teams that have shown interest in the 28-year-old are Premier League giants Man United and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as several other clubs from Germany and Portugal.
Onana has faced criticism following two underwhelming performances against Nottingham Forest and Viktoria Plzen, where his errors directly contributed to goals being conceded in both matches.
Spurs, on the other hand, have been forced to deploy 36-year-old Fraser Forster between the sticks in Vicario's absence, with young Brandon Austin serving as backup.
Victor's agent, Pedro Gutierrez, reportedly revealed that while numerous European clubs have expressed interest in the goalkeeper, his client's preference is to move to England and play in the Premier League.

Spurs lining up shock move for former Red Devil
While the Red Devils and Spurs look set to battle for Victor in January, reports suggest that the Lilywhites are also lining up a shock move for a former Man United player ahead of the transfer window.
TEAMtalk revealed this week that the North London side is keeping an eye on Brazil international Andreas Pereira, as a potential replacement for Timo Werner.
It is understood that Spurs have decided to waive the option of turning Werner's loan move into a permanent deal next summer following Ange Postecoglou's sharp criticism of the German forward earlier this week.
Postecoglou's frustrations came to a head on Thursday evening when, following Tottenham's 1-1 Europa League draw against Rangers at the Ibrox Stadium, he condemned the 28-year-old's performance as "unacceptable."
Pereira has established himself as a model of consistency at Craven Cottage since joining Fulham from Manchester United in July 2022 for a reported fee of around £10m.
