How Manchester United could line up against Arsenal

Sports Mole looks at how Manchester United could line up for Sunday's crucial Premier League clash with Arsenal as they prepare to welcome key first-team players back.

Manchester United could cap off a memorable week when they take on top-four rivals Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

The Red Devils pulled off a miraculous comeback against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday night to book their place in the quarter-finals of the Champions League in dramatic circumstances - a game which will have only increased their appetite to ensure that they are in the competition again next season.

Just one point separates them from fifth-placed Arsenal ahead of their trip to North London, though, and they could even start the match outside the top four should Chelsea beat Wolverhampton Wanderers earlier in the day.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could line his side up for this weekend's showdown.

Possible MNU XI vs. ARS

Out: Alexis Sanchez (knee), Antonio Valencia (calf), Juan Mata (hamstring), Jesse Lingard (hamstring)
Doubtful: Eric Bailly (knock), Matteo Darmian (knock), Anthony Martial (groin), Nemanja Matic (muscle), Ander Herrera (hamstring), Phil Jones (ill)

United's triumph in Paris was made even more remarkable by their lengthy list of absentees, but they could be boosted by the return of some key players this weekend.

Paul Pogba is definitely available again after serving a European suspension in midweek, while Solskjaer suggested that Anthony Martial, Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic could all be ready to return from injury too.

The knock which forced Eric Bailly off against PSG is nothing serious and he will be in contention to feature, as should Phil Jones after illness, but Solskjaer may opt to stick with the centre-back pairing which performed so well in the French capital.

Ashley Young is expected to drop into right-back - although Diogo Dalot is also pushing for a start - while ahead of him Marcus Rashford may be forced back out wide given the fine form of Romelu Lukaku, who has scored twice in each of his last three outings.
