Sir Alex Ferguson says that he has no plans to sign anyone in January and ranks his current squad among his best at Manchester United.

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has insisted that he has no plans to sign any players during the January transfer window.

United are seven points clear of second-placed Manchester City and Ferguson says that his current squad is as good as any he has had at Old Trafford.

"I am not looking to do any serious business in January," said Ferguson.

"I don't have to because I am more than satisfied with the players I have in my squad.

"[This group is] as good as any I have had in my time at Old Trafford."

Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa recently said that his dream is to play for United, sparking transfer speculation.
