Everton allegedly ask former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino whether he would be interested in becoming the new manager at Goodison Park.

Everton have reportedly approached Mauricio Pochettino regarding the vacant managerial position at Goodison Park.

Despite having only left his role at Tottenham Hotspur last month, Pochettino has suggested that he is prepared to make an immediate return to the dugout.

While the Argentine has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Bayern Munich, Everton have also been credited with an interest in his services.

According to The Times, the Toffees hierarchy have identified Pochettino as a potential replacement for Marco Silva, who was sacked on Thursday evening.

The report suggests that the Everton board are keen to hold talks with the 47-year-old, aware that he could soon receive offers from other clubs.

Duncan Ferguson has been placed in caretaker charge, although the Scot has acknowledged that he is unlikely to be handed the reins on a full-time basis.
