Manchester City target Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar this month?

Manchester City contemplate making a January move for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar as Pep Guardiola looks to rebuild his squad, according to a report.

Manchester City are reportedly contemplating making a January move for Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar.

Pep Guardiola's side are currently 14 points behind Liverpool in the Premier League table and with their title defence seemingly over already, the club's owners are believed to be prepared to back the Spaniard in this transfer window as he looks to rebuild his squad.

City have identified their defence as an area particularly requiring reinforcements, and The Mirror reports that the club have been watching Skriniar ahead of potentially making an offer in the coming weeks.

The 24-year-old has been in impressive form for Antonio Conte's side this season, playing 24 times in all competitions.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are also thought to be interested in signing the former Sampdoria defender and the report also indicates that if City are unable to sign him, they do have other targets that they intend to pursue.
