Team News: Daniel Sturridge on the bench for Liverpool against West Ham United

Daniel Sturridge makes the Liverpool bench against West Ham United after being sidelined for almost five months out with a thigh injury.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has been named on the substitutes' bench against West Ham United this afternoon after spending almost five months out with a thigh injury.

There is no place in the squad, however, for Mario Balotelli or Steven Gerrard.

Sam Allardyce, meanwhile, has made three changes to the team that beat Bristol City 1-0 in the FA Cup last weekend.

Joey O'Brien, James Collins and Morgan Amalfitano replace Carl Jenkinson, James Tomkins and Mark Noble.

Liverpool: Mignolet; Can, Skrtel, Sakho; Henderson, Lucas, Moreno, Markovic; Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling

West Ham United: Adrian; O'Brien, Collins, Reid, Cresswell; Song; Amalfitano, Nolan; Downing; Carroll, Valencia
