Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson describes Friday's 1-0 defeat to Millwall in the Championship as "cruel" on his players.

Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson has described Friday's 1-0 defeat to Millwall in the Championship as "cruel" on his players.

The Foxes were reduced to 10 men with only three minutes played at the King Power Stadium when Wes Morgan was sent off for a foul on Andy Keogh.

The home side looked to have held out for a point before Alan Dunne struck in the 86th minute to earn Millwall the victory.

"The players have worked very hard to get something out of the game and to concede a goal so late is, I think, quite cruel," Pearson told Sky Sports News. "I don't think the players deserve that tonight.

"The players have shown a lot of desire to play in a positive fashion despite going down to 10 men. It's not going for us at the moment but we've got to keep working hard."

Despite seeing their winless run stretch to six matches, Leicester remain in sixth position in the Championship table.
