Beppe Marotta dedicates Juventus's triumph in the Italian Super Cup to suspended coach Antonio Conte.

Juventus director general Beppe Marotta has dedicated his side's triumph in the Italian Super Cup to suspended coach Antonio Conte.

Conte has been given a 10-month ban by the Italian football federation (FIGC) for his involvement in the betting scandal currently engulfing Italy.

The Italian was absent from the touchline on Saturday when Juventus got the better of Napoli 4-2 in extra time in Beijing to win the Italian Super Cup.

After the match Marotta underlined the importance of Conte in the win.

"This is Conte's victory as he prepared in recent weeks an impeccable performance, while it was also a victory for Conte as the players wanted to give him this success," he explained.

Marotta also revealed that the Italian champions are seeking to make more signings before the end of the summer transfer window.

"The definition 'top player' is vague," he explained. "For example, how would we describe Kwadwo Asamoah, who scored a great goal today?

"Or Andrea Pirlo, Mirko Vucinic and Sebastian Giovinco? We are looking at the market, but this squad deservedly won the Scudetto and the Super Cup."

Juventus will begin their 2012-13 Serie A campaign with a home game against Parma later this month.
