Antonio Conte thanks Alessandro Del Piero

Antonio Conte says that Alessandro Del Piero is part of the fabric of Juventus' history.

Juventus coach Antonio Conte is hoping that Alessandro Del Piero can give one last performance in the Bianconeri shirt.

The 37-year-old signed off on his Serie A career with Juve this season by helping them to win the Scudetto and going an entire season unbeaten.

Conte thanked Del Piero for his service to the club and said that he will feature in the Coppa Italia final against Napoli.

"I am moved by Del Piero, as he represents something indelible," admitted Conte, who was Del Piero's teammate when he first moved from Padova in 1993.

"He is the history of Juventus. That is thanks to the player and the man, so I can only thank him. Alex must also be a protagonist in the Coppa Italia Final in Rome."

The Coppa Italia final takes places at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on May 20.
