Hull City beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at the KC Stadium to go within two points of Cardiff City.

Hull City have cut the gap on Championship leaders Cardiff City to two points thanks to a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers at the KC Stadium.

Colin Kazim-Richards forced David Stockdale into action with the first effort on goal, before Jake Kean twice kept out Robbie Brady at the other end.

David Meyler looked certain to put the Tigers ahead when he got his head to Robert Koren's cross, but the young keeper made denied him from close range.

The teams went in goalless at the break, but the hosts went ahead seven minutes after the restart when Mohamed Gedo turned home Stephen Quinn's cross.

The points were made certain in the 67th minute thanks to a volley from Ahmed Elmohamady.
