Half-Time Report: Stoke City shock Swansea City with half-time lead

Stoke City have a 2-0 lead at half time in their clash with Swansea City.

Stoke City are beating Swansea City at half time in the Premier League.

Swansea's afternoon got off to the worst possible start as Jonathan Walters battled hard to win the ball and lifted it into his own goal.

However, they responded well and had a chance through Roland Lamah, but he directed his effort straight at Asmir Begovic from about five yards.

The home side began to have more of the ball, but Stoke were doing a good job of closing them down.

Stoke's excellent start then got even better as they doubled their lead with 25 minutes gone.

Peter Crouch and Walters created the space, and Stephen Ireland ran through into the area to fire in.

Just before that goal, Wilfried Bony had a decent chance for Swansea, but volleyed wide.

Begovic was called into action before the break, denying Bony as the striker attempted to go around him.
