West Bromwich Albion sign full-back Cristian Gamboa

Costa Rican right-back Cristian Gamboa completes his £1.8m move to West Brom after impressing in his country's World Cup campaign.

West Bromwich Albion have completed the signing of Costa Rican right-back Cristian Gamboa in a £1.8m deal.

Gamboa completes his switch to the Premier League after spending two seasons with Norwegian side Rosenborg.

The Costa Rican will be competing for his place a right-back as he will have to fight it out with fellow newcomers Andre Wisdom and Chris Baird.

The 24-year-old helped his national side cause an upset at this year's World Cup as Costa Rica made it to the quarter-finals and topped the group that included Italy and England.
