Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly given up in their pursuit of Fabinho and Cesc Fabregas and will instead turn their focus elsewhere.
The French giants are bracing themselves for Adrien Rabiot's impending exit from the Parc des Princes as the central midfielder has no intention of agreeing fresh terms.
Rabiot, into the final six months of his existing deal, will either be sold in January for a small fee or be allowed to run down his contract while sitting on the bench.
PSG have been linked with both Liverpool's Fabinho and Fabregas of Chelsea in recent weeks, but Goal.com suggests that neither player remains on their radar.
Fabinho has forced his way into Liverpool's starting lineup after a slow start, playing a full part in their last three matches, while Fabregas is expected to move elsewhere when he becomes a free agent at the end of the season.
Everton ace Idrissa Gueye is the latest name in the frame to fill the void left by Rabiot.
