Frank Lampard warns Everton off Kurt Zouma

New Chelsea manager Frank Lampard insists that Kurt Zouma is part of his plans at Stamford Bridge amid interest from Everton.

Frank Lampard has made it clear to Everton that Kurt Zouma is part of his plans as Chelsea manager for the 2019-20 season.

Zouma, who moved to Stamford Bridge in 2013, has spent the last two seasons on loan at Stoke City and Everton respectively.

The Frenchman was especially impressive working under Everton boss Marco Silva, who has signalled an interest in securing his services on a permanent basis.

However, Lampard told the Daily Mail that Zouma is part of his plans going forward and will not leave for Goodison Park this summer.

"He's a Chelsea player and I want him," he said.

"Kurt Zouma is a very good defender for us, a very good player, a very good person, a professional and I want him here, simple as that."

Lampard indicated his desire to use Zouma next season by playing the 24-year-old alongside David Luiz for the opening 45 minutes of Chelsea's pre-season tour defeat to J-League champions Kawasaki Frontale on Friday.

The former Chelsea midfielder will need to put faith in young talent next season as the club undergoes a transfer ban until June 2020.
