Chelsea captain John Terry and interim manager Rafael Benitez share a heated exchange before training on Monday, according to a report.

Chelsea interim manager Rafael Benitez and captain John Terry have reportedly been involved in a heated row at the club's training ground.

Benitez called his Chelsea squad into a circle before training yesterday to discuss what went wrong in Sunday's 2-0 defeat to Manchester City.

Terry is thought to have spoken out and the discussion over the City loss quickly escalated into a blazing row between the pair.

A witness to the incident is quoted by The Sun as saying: "It all kicked off between JT and Benitez as their frustrations over Sunday boiled over into a big bust-up."

The news comes just over a week after Terry hit out over false reports that he had clashed with Benitez before the FA Cup win against Brentford over his lack of playing time since returning from a knee injury.

The Blues slipped to fourth in the Premier League last night thanks to Tottenham Hotspur's late win over West Ham United.
