Jordon Mutch hoping for Cardiff City momentum

Cardiff midfielder Jordon Mutch calls on his teammates to build on their 1-0 win over Southampton when they face Stoke City this weekend.

Jordon Mutch has called on his Cardiff City teammates to build on their 1-0 win over Southampton when they face Stoke City this Saturday.

The Bluebirds boosted their hopes of Premier League survival last weekend as they earned three vital points at St Mary's Stadium.

Mutch now hopes that Cardiff can use the momentum from that victory when they play host to Stoke this weekend.

"We need to focus on ourselves," he told the club's official website. "We're always looking to improve and hopefully we can kick on from that result against Southampton. We've always believed that we can stay up as a group.

"This week we regroup and look at the next game and hopefully get the three points we need from it. All the boys stick together and we just do what we need to do on the pitch. That focus is key."

Mutch has scored seven goals in 33 games for Cardiff so far this season.
