Cardiff City dedicate their 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers to late Wales manager Gary Speed.

Cardiff City have dedicated their 2-0 Carling Cup quarter-final victory over Blackburn to the late Gary Speed.

Goals from Kenny Miller and Filip Kiss put the Bluebirds through to the semi-finals on an emotional night for Welsh football.

Before the game, Cardiff boss Malky Mackay, Rovers manager Steve Kean and Football Association of Wales chief executive Jonathan Ford laid floral tributes on a Welsh flag, followed by a minute's applause and a minute's silence.

"I am very proud of the group and proud of everyone at the football club," Mackay said. "It was an emotional evening for everyone at the club and everyone in Wales.

"We knew that going out tonight we would have a big attendance and it was a very moving tribute to Gary.

"We wanted to get through just as that little tribute to him to get Wales into the semi-finals of the Carling Cup."

Cardiff's semi-final opponents will be decided in a draw after Manchester United's quarter-final with Crystal Palace tonight (Wednesday).
