Stephen Ward hints at Brighton & Hove Albion stay

Stephen Ward suggests that he could be tempted to stay at Brighton & Hove Albion beyond the end of his season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Stephen Ward has suggested that he could stay at Brighton & Hove Albion beyond the end of his season-long loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The winger, 28, was recently recalled to the Republic of Ireland squad following a string of impressive performances for the Championship club.

Despite admitting that he may be tempted to remain on the South Coast, Ward believes that he could yet have a future with Wolves.

"I'm on loan for the season and no real decisions have to be made for a good couple of months," he told The Argus.

"It's a good club and if something happened, yeah, I'd be more than happy [to stay], but Wolves look like they're going to get promoted and we'll see.

"We'll sit down and talk to them, see what their plan is, but at the minute it's just about playing and enjoying what I'm doing."

Ward has made 13 appearances for Brighton so far this season.
