Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has declared that the club have finished their summer transfer business, ruling out further signings before the window closes.
New Bayern coach Pep Guardiola has added Mario Gotze and Thiago Alcantara to last season's treble-winning squad, but a move for Robert Lewandowski was thwarted by Borussia Dortmund's refusal to sanction a sale.
He told the Kicker magazine: "Dortmund's comments [on Lewandowski] were unmistakable, so we have to respect that also.
"We now have the squad the way we want it. We signed Gotze because we believe he is the greatest talent of his year group in Germany and Europe.
"With Thiago, you could see that it was a good recommendation of the coach. He has characteristics that we have never had at Bayern Munich before."
Guardiola gets his maiden Bundesliga campaign underway on Friday night with a home match against Borussia Monchengladbach.
