Mario Gomez is named in the Bayern Munich starting XI in another much-changed Jupp Heynckes team.

Mario Gomez's seven-minute hat-trick in the DFB-Pokal semi-final against Wolfsburg has earned him a start for the Bundesliga trip to Hannover as Jupp Heynckes shuffles his pack again.

The impressive Xherdan Shaqiri makes way with Claudio Pizarro also named in a two-man attack. In midfield there is a start for Anatoliy Tymoshchuk.

For the hosts, Jan Schlaudraff is named in behind Mame Diouf with Didier Ya Konan dropping to the bench.

Hannover: Zieler; Pander, Schulz, Djourou, Cherundolo; Da Silva Pinto, Hoffmann; Rausch, Stindl, Schlaudraff; Diouf

Bayern: Neuer; Rafinha, Van Buyten, Boateng, Alaba; Tymoshchuk, Gustavo, Muller, Ribery; Pizarro, Gomez
