Philippe Coutinho may not feature for Bayern Munich again this season amid speculation regarding a Premier League move, according to a report.

Philippe Coutinho may not feature for Bayern Munich again this season following the Bundesliga's resumption, according to a report.

The Brazil international has turned out 22 times for the Bavarian giants during his loan spell from parent club Barcelona, but Coutinho has not featured in either of Bayern's games since the league was given the green light to resume behind closed doors.

The 27-year-old, who has notched up eight goals and six assists for Hansi Flick's side this term, is currently sidelined with an ankle problem amid widespread speculation regarding a move to the Premier League.

According to Sky Sports News, Bayern's decision not to sign the winger on a permanent basis could influence Flick's team selection in the final few Bundesliga games.

A recent report claimed that Arsenal are hoping to strike a deal for Coutinho, with parent club Barcelona supposedly determined to cash in on the former Liverpool man.

However, there is still the concern that prospective buyers may not be able to fund a move for Coutinho given the financial implications of the coronavirus pandemic.
