Arsenal join Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in the hunt for Sporting Lisbon teenager Joelson Fernandes, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Sporting Lisbon teenager Joelson Fernandes.

The 17-year-old is yet to make his first-team bow for Sporting but has featured on 28 occasions for the club's Under-23 side this season, scoring five times and contributing two assists.

Fernandes has also represented Portugal at Under-15, Under-16 and Under-17 level, finding the back of the net on four occasions across the three different age groups.

According to Record, Arsenal have joined the likes of Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in the race to sign the left-sided attacker during this summer's transfer window.

The report, though, claims that Sporting are desperately attempting to tie the teenager to a new contract with a €100m (£90m) release clause to protect his value.

Fernandes's current deal at Estadio Jose Alvalade is due to expire in June 2022.
