Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta still has the support of Stan Kroenke and the club's board despite coming under even more pressure, following a run of poor results.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is understood to still have the support of Stan Kroenke and the club's board despite coming under even more pressure following the disappointing 1-0 defeat at home to Burnley.

Sunday's loss was the Gunners' fourth successive home defeat in the Premier League, with the Clarets joining Leicester, Aston Villa and Wolves in taking away three points from the Emirates.

Arsenal have now lost seven of their 12 Premier League matches this campaign, which has seen them slip to 15th in the table, five points clear of the relegation zone.

The Gunners' miserable run of form has placed more scrutiny on Arteta's role as Arsenal boss with many fans questioning his role as manager less than a year into the job.

However, football.london reports that the Arsenal board are still behind Arteta and that there is no imminent desire from Kroenke to sack the Spaniard despite recent results.

Arsenal's fixture against high-flying Southampton on Wednesday evening will be followed by three more difficult encounters against Everton, Manchester City and Chelsea.
