Pochettino: 'Tottenham should feel proud'

Mauricio Pochettino urges his Tottenham Hotspur squad to deliver the same level of performance as they did in drawing with Arsenal.

Mauricio Pochettino has claimed that his Tottenham Hotspur team should be proud of the effort they put in during the 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

The Lilywhites looked to be heading for a win against the Gunners, but Kieran Gibbs's 77th-minute strike cancelled out Harry Kane's opener as Spurs were forced to settle for a point.

However, Pochettino has praised his team's effort and challenged his players to show the same level of performance in their upcoming games.

He told BBC Sport: "The way we played we should feel very proud. The effort was brilliant. The level we showed and the commitment was fantastic. It's the way we want to carry on.

"In six days we've played three matches, maybe we felt it in the final minutes. We need to recognise we are a very young team. This experience is very important.

"We need to show we are maturing. The level we have today is good, we need to show more and to improve. It's early to set a limit or to expect a lot of things."

Spurs play host to West Ham United next Sunday.
