Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's Welcome To Wrexham will return for a second season, it is announced.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's docuseries Welcome To Wrexham will return for a second season, it has been confirmed.

The show, which charts the Hollywood duo's takeover of Welsh side Wrexham, has become a global phenomenon and brought international attention to the small city, which has a population of just over 60,000.

The first season premiered last August and followed the pair as they got to grips with the day-to-day minutiae of running a football club playing in the fifth tier of English football, the National League, and ended with their semi-final playoff defeat in 2021-22.

Cameras have continued to roll at the club this season, meaning that the show's renewal was merely a formality, but official confirmation has now arrived.

In a post on social media, Disney+ said: "SPOILER ALERT 🚨 Coming in 2023, Season 2 is going to be WILD."

Season two - likely to premiere this summer - will document the club's remarkable 2022-23 season, which culminated with them winning promotion to the English Football League as National League champions.
