Sky has secured the rights to The Penguin, the upcoming TV spinoff from The Batman.
In the eight-part drama - ordered by US streamer Max - Colin Farrell will reprise his role as one of Batman's fiercest enemies from the 2022 box-office smash, following Penguin on his rise through Gotham's criminal underworld.
New episodes will air on Sky Atlantic weekly at the exact time as their release in the US, after which they will become available on-demand and via NOW.
Lucy Criddle, Sky's acquisitions director, said: "The Penguin is an outstanding addition to our growing comic slate of films and series.
"With the grimy world of Gotham City amidst chaos, the story continues The Batman epic crime saga and I'm excited to see Farrell take this iconic character to new heights in this eight-part limited drama series."
The Penguin is due to premiere in "late 2024".
