George Galloway has revealed that he was 'stalked' by Fiona Harvey, the woman thought to be the inspiration for Netflix hit Baby Reindeer, in the 1980s.
The politician - formerly of the Labour Party and now the leader of the Workers Party of Britain - told Piers Morgan that he had only made the connection between the show and his alleged former stalker when he watched Morgan's interview with Harvey last month.
"She was forever on my case," he recalled on Uncensored. "She was a member of the Labour Party, I think you got that out of her.
"She was a member of the Labour Party in my Hillhead constituency. I had just been elected MP in 1987, defeating Roy Jenkins, and suddenly I find this obsessive woman in my midst. And everywhere I turned, she was there.
"And, at first I thought that she fancied me, but it turned out that she fancied my job and so she was a relentless, physical up-close-and-personal stalker of mine, and I'm ready to testify to that."
He added: "She called me hundreds of times, hundreds of times, and she showed up probably hundreds of times, at the most inappropriate places.
"At my office, wherever she discovered that we were, me and my staff and my inner circle, she would breeze in."
Harvey, who denies accusations of being a stalker, is also alleged to have sent hundreds of emails to other Labour Party figures, including leader Sir Keir Starmer.
