Doubts reportedly emerge over whether the 10-year anniversary series of Geordie Shore will go ahead in Colombia.

The proposed Geordie Shore anniversary reunion series in Colombia is reportedly in doubt after production was postponed at the last moment.

Producers had planned to mark the milestone birthday by flying cast members old and new to the South American country, where bars and clubs are still open, to shoot a bumper-sized series.

The original plan was to film in February and March but several weeks ago it emerged that the decision had been taken to delay production until May/June, and according to The Sun, the news has rattled the cast.

"Some of the cast are worried it won't go ahead but MTV bosses are determined it will go ahead," a source told the newspaper.

"There have been issues around Colombia and the cast have been rowing with producers over quarantine stipulations and having to have their phones taken away.

"The 10-year anniversary was meant to be a massive celebration but it's just turned into an almighty headache. Right now no-one knows if they're coming or going."

The delay to production means that filming the show in the UK as usual could become a more realistic alternative, with the government hoping to remove almost all coronavirus restrictions - including allowing nightclubs to re-open - by June 21.
