Strictly Come Dancing, week three: Ranvir Singh is surprise new leader

Ranvir Singh takes the lead on week three of Strictly Come Dancing, earning a series-high score of 27 for her foxtrot.

Good Morning Britain presenter Ranvir Singh ended Strictly Come Dancing's Movie Week with a shock lead after the judges' scoring.

The 43-year-old's foxtrot with professional partner Giovanni Pernice earned the highest score of the series so far, with a total of 27 following three nines from Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.

Bill Bailey was within a whisker of sharing the lead, earning an impressive 26 points for his paso doble, while there were notable improvements from Max George and Jamie Laing.

Former NFL player Jason Bell was rock bottom, with just 12 points, while Nicola Adams and Clara Amfo are also in danger of being axed when the viewer votes come in.
