Buffy, The Vampire Slayer star Sarah Michelle Gellar has responded to the latest allegations levelled at show creator Joss Whedon.
Charisma Carpenter, who appeared on Buffy and spinoff series Angel, claimed in a lengthy Instagram post that Whedon had "abused his power on numerous occasions" during her time working for him, describing him as "mean and biting".
Responding in a statement on Instagram, Gellar wrote: "While I am proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don't want to be forever associated with the name Joss Whedon.
"I am more focused on raising my family and surviving a pandemic currently, so I will not be making any further statements at this time. But I stand with all survivors of abuse and am proud of them for speaking out."
Whedon has yet to comment on Carpenter's allegations.
