The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, appears to accuse the Royal Family of "perpetuating falsehoods" in a new preview clip from her interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Meghan Markle appears to accuse the Royal Family of "perpetuating falsehoods" in a newly-released preview clip of her and Prince Harry's upcoming interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The highly-anticipated interview, which is said to be no-holds-barred, was pre-recorded last month and will be broadcast this Sunday night.

"How do you feel about the Palace hearing you speak your truth today?" Winfrey asks in the new 30-second trailer.

Markle is then shown saying: "I don't know how they could expect that after all of this time we would still just be silent if there is an active role that the firm is playing in perpetuating falsehoods about us.

"And if that comes with risk of losing things, then there's a lot that's been lost already."

The release of the new clip from the interview comes after Buckingham Palace said that it is "very concerned" by allegations that the Duchess of Sussex 'bullied' members of her staff to the extent that two aides quit their jobs in 2018.

A spokesperson for Markle dismissed the claims about her behaviour as the "latest attack on her character" and said that she had been "saddened" by the story.

The interview with Markle and Prince Harry will air Sunday night at 8pm ET on CBS in the US and Monday night at 9pm on ITV in the UK.
