VH1 announces 'Secret Celebrity RuPaul's Drag Race'

VH-1 unveils new spinoff series Secret Celebrity RuPaul's Drag Race, which will premiere later this month.

VH-1 has confirmed that spinoff series Secret Celebrity RuPaul's Drag Race will begin later this month.

Each episode of the show will see three celebrities embracing the world of drag with some of the franchise's most iconic queens, including Alyssa Edwards, Asia O'Hara, Bob the Drag Queen, Kim Chi, Monet X Change, Monique Heart, Nina West, Trinity the Tuck, Trixie Mattel and Vanessa 'Vanjie' Mateo.

Just like the regular series, the celebs will compete in challenges and take to the catwalk before one is crowned 'America's Next Celebrity Drag Race Superstar', winning money for their chosen charity.

"RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race is a blast," said RuPaul. "We put these celebrities through it! Because no matter how famous your charisma, uniqueness, nerve and talent is, you still put your pantyhose on one leg at a time."

The four-episode series will start on VH-1 in the US on April 24, directly after new episodes of the regular series. Details of a UK transmission have yet to be confirmed.
