Rihanna "completely fine" after run-in with electric scooter

Rihanna suffers facial injuries after flipping over on her electric scooter, her representative confirms.

Rihanna is said to be "completely fine" after falling off an electric scooter last week.

The 'Shut Up and Drive' singer sparked concern on Friday when she was photographed outside a Los Angeles with multiple bruises on her face.

Rihanna's rep has now confirmed that the bruises were the result of a mishap with an electric scooter, weeks after music mogul Simon Cowell was left with a broken back after falling own his own electric bike.

The spokesperson told People: "Rihanna is completely fine now but flipped over on an electric scooter last week and bruised her forehead and face.

"Luckily there were no major injuries and she is healing quickly."

Rihanna is currently working on her long-awaited ninth studio album as well as a behind-the-scenes documentary for Amazon, due to be released next summer.
