New Joan Rivers albums to be released in 2021

Comedy routines from the late Joan Rivers will be released for the first time in 2021, her daughter Melissa reveals.

Previously-unreleased comedy material from the late Joan Rivers is to be made available in 2021, her daughter Melissa Rivers has announced.

The trailblazing comedienne died at the age of 81 in 2014 after a minor throat procedure went tragically wrong.

Hundreds of hours of Rivers's comedy routines will be repackaged as a boxset and digital albums by the respected distribution company Comedy Dynamics.

Melissa said: "While hundreds of hours of my mother on tape sounds great to her fans, to my therapist it sounds like another beach house.

"Thankfully, mom was meticulous about saving everything, and some of her best routines, collected over literally decades, are going to soon be available. For that we really can be grateful."

Rivers was awarded a posthumous Grammy in 2015 for her spoken word album Diary of a Mad Diva.
