Football pundit Mark Lawrenson is reportedly in talks to take part in this year's Strictly Come Dancing.
The former Liverpool defender, 62, is 'top of the BBC's list' of targets for the dance competition, according to the Daily Star, ahead of the new series beginning in September.
"The team who book celebs for Strictly are really keen to get Mark on board," a source told the newspaper. "He's a great character and they know viewers would love to see him on the show this autumn.
"Strictly is a big commitment. But it's looking promising."
Other names in the frame for this year's show include Christine McGuinness and Made In Chelsea's Jamie Laing, who was forced to pull out of last year's lineup due to a foot injury.
