Dame Joan Collins: "I shall never shake hands again"

Dame Joan Collins vows never to shake hands again after the coronavirus outbreak has passed.

Dame Joan Collins has declared that the coronavirus pandemic will change how she interacts with the public.

Strict social distancing measures have been in place in the UK for the last two months due to the spread of COVID-19, which has killed more than 34,000 people across the country to date.

At the age of 86, Collins is in the group deemed to be extremely vulnerable to suffering the worst effects of the disease and she has now insisted that she will not put herself at risk by interacting with members of the public.

"Shaking hands is the way germs are passed on," she told The Sun. "I shall never shake hands again."

She added: "And those dreadful selfies with strangers will have to stop."
