Bryce Dallas Howard "very grateful" as Jurassic World: Dominion resumes filming

Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard says that she is "very grateful" to be returning to work as the next movie in the franchise prepares to resume filming.

Jurassic World star Bryce Dallas Howard has said that she is "very grateful" to be able to get back to work as the franchise gears up for a return to filming.

Production of the final movie in the World trilogy, Jurassic World: Dominion, was halted in March due to the coronavirus lockdown but will now get going again at London's Pinewood Studios early next month after execs spent around £4m on enhanced health and safety measures.

Dallas Howard will be reprising her role as Claire Dearing in the new film alongside Chris Pratt as Owen Grady, with both actors due to fly into the UK in the coming days before undertaking a mandatory two-week quarantine.

"There's been a lot of communication. They are going above and beyond," the actress told SiriusXM of the production restart. "We would never be going back to work if we didn't feel safe. And, you know, we're taking it one day at a time and I'm very grateful to have a job.

"What feels really right about it is that there is this daily conversation, daily communication with all of the actors, all of the key crew members and just us consistently being like, 'Okay, how are we going to do this, how are we going to do this safely?' and not making compromises that could undermine someone's health."

The film is due for release on June 11, 2021.
