No 'Hobbit' panel at Comic-Con

Peter Jackson confirms that The Hobbit will have no presence at Comic-Con this year.

The Hobbit director Peter Jackson has confirmed that the movie series will have no presence at this year's Comic-Con.

In a video blog to fans, Jackson said that the cast and crew are too busy working on pickups to appear at a panel or even produce a sizzle reel for the convention in two weeks' time.

The second film in the trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug is due for release on December 13.
