Armie Hammer at centre of bizarre cannibalism allegations

Actor Armie Hammer trends on Twitter following a leak of alleged DMs that detail cannibalism and sex fetish fantasies.

Call Me By Your Name actor Armie Hammer has been accused of having cannibalistic desires after a series of bizarre messages purporting to be from the star were leaked online.

Screenshots of the DMs, which are alleged to be between the 34-year-old actor and a woman, have not been verified - although representatives for the star have not yet responded to press requests for comment.

The alleged messages include: "I am 100% a cannibal. I want to eat you", "I want to drink your blood" and "thinking of holding your heart in my hands and controlling when it beats".

Other messages detail various sexual acts, mostly of a kink nature, including some too graphic to reprint.

Hammer has been a trending subject on Twitter since the allegations surfaced late on Sunday but he has yet to take to his social media accounts to comment on the claims; his most recent posts were made last Wednesday in response to the horrific events at the US Capitol.

Last summer the actor announced his split from his wife of 10 years Elizabeth Chambers.
