Samuel L Jackson 'to appear in new Marvel series for Disney+'

Samuel L Jackson reportedly signs up to reprise his role as Nick Fury for a new Marvel series for Disney+.

Samuel L Jackson will reportedly reprise his role as Nick Fury in a new Marvel series for Disney+.

The veteran actor has played the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. in 11 movies in the MCU, most recently in Spider-Man: Far From Home, as well as two episodes of the TV series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

According to Variety, the 71-year-old has agreed to take part in a new series being developed by Kyle Bradstreet, executive producer on Mr Robot.

The publication says that "exact plot details of the show are being kept under wraps" and it is unclear to what extent Jackson will feature, although Fury is expected to be the central character.

Rumours of a Fury-centric series for Disney+ have been around for the last two years, although up until now Jackson has always dismissed the speculation.
