Doctor Alex opens up on pain of brother's death

Doctor Alex George says that his family are enduring "the hardest times" after the death of his younger brother last week.

Doctor Alex George has said that his family are going through "the hardest times" following the sudden death of his younger brother Llyr last week.

On Friday the 30-year-old shared the heartbreaking news that he had lost Llyr "to mental health" just weeks before the youngster was due to start medical school.

Providing an update for his followers on Instagram, George wrote: "These are the hardest times I could ever have imagined.

"The kindness and love our family has received has been incredible and I am so grateful.

"In the darkest times we must pick ourselves up, find strength and be there for our family and friends. That is exactly what I'll do."

George has been a prominent figure during the coronavirus crisis, providing regular updates for his followers as he worked on the frontline in A&E.
