Shane Richie has dismissed speculation that he had a fractious relationship with AJ Pritchard on I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!
In a series with next to no tension or arguments between the celebrities, Shane and AJ's differing views on the cleanliness of the dishes appeared to be the only bone of contention among the class of 2020.
Fuel appeared to be added to the fire by Shane's son - also called Shane - on social media as he criticised AJ's attitude, but the ex-EastEnders star has laughed off any rumours of a rift.
"I don't get it. I didn't see what they thought they saw," Shane, who finished in fourth place, told The Mirror.
"Me and AJ, we did a trial together and then when I was leader of the camp and he wanted to do another one I said: 'AJ mate, do you want to do it? You will be brilliant out there.'
"I used to talk to him about, 'I would be so proud of you', because I have got two boys. I remember saying, 'I would be proud to have you as my son'.
"We had some great chats so I don't know where that comes from."
Giovanna Fletcher was named the show's first ever Queen of the Castle as the series reached its conclusion on Friday night.
