Channel 4 has released a first-look trailer for this summer's episodes of Hollyoaks ahead of the impending time-jump twist.
In September the soap will fast-forward permanently by one year as part of the switch from five episodes to week to three - and in the coming weeks several major characters will be departing the village.
Among the storylines hinted at in the new extended trailer:
- An impulsive Ste hooks up with Rex in the toilets before his sentencing
- Frankie finds an ally in Grace. And when her abusive brother JJ falls ill at home with no-one else to help, Frankie walks away...
- Donny sweeps Misbah off her feet, but is all as it seems with him?
- Vicky seems to have her eye on Ethan, while Theresa causes headaches for Cleo and Abe
- As Maxine struggles with the arrival of Jez, his unhinged mother Martha drugs him in his potting shed
- Diane finds herself turning increasingly to the bottle as she struggles with Ro's transition
- Warren helps deliver Mercedes's twin girls into the world
